ExecFTPs 0.69 from HDD?
Anyone had problems running this from thye HDD?
Runs perfect from the MC (also really stable, well done mr coder) but when i run from HDD i try to connect and it just says Connection Refused (and yes it is running ok according to the OSD)
Anyone having similar problems?
-
I run it from HD and it works just as good as it does from MC.
Do you have passive mode disabled?
-
I have tried with and without PASV mode both the same, but its not even connecting to the ps2

Is the version on your HDD compressed or not? Try uncompressed. Also, make sure you have all the proper .irx files in the same folder/directory.
-
Did you place Execftps below the 128gb portion of your HD? I just placed mine in the __boot partition (created a subdirectory under __boot).
-
You still need the CONFIG.DAT (or IPCONFIG.DAT) file on the MC... or it won't be at the right IP address...
-
Make sure you use launch.elf to launch it at least that works for me.
-
LaunchELF works with it. I have it on the __BOOT partition with CONFIG.DAT in the same directory. The program will search for this file or IPCONFIG.DAT in several locations, but why not just have it right there in the same dir?
-
Ok, yes it is on __boot
yes the MC contains CONFIG.DAT (and it is read and used), yes i have tried both compressed and uncompressed.
as for launchelf, that would really make any difference i doubt as the app is launching ok, or at least according to my tv that says the ftp is only on port 21 :)

Does it check the boot directory?....
.68 checks these locations...
EXEcFTP can have its config file in the following locations...
these are the usable directories for the file on the MC
mc0:/BOOT/EXECFTPS/CONFIG.DAT
mc0:/EXECFTPS/CONFIG.DAT
mc0:/SYS-CONF/CONFIG.DAT
mc0:/SYS-CONF/IPCONFIG.DAT
.69 does read from same directory... so that will work...
so this as you said is not the prob... it loads and states the correct IPs for your system.... Damn... you broke it.. .
I have no idea.... anyone else got a clue?
