i dont know if this has been covered here before but anyways

well obviusly i've had troubles with execftp .68 myself but ive found away to stop or least minimize the troubles some people are having with execftp 0.68 stopping mid use when transfering files

1st extract all included zips to pc hdd

2nd goto where you extracted ps2link in the bin folder edit your IPCONFIG.DAT to your network settings then

3rd copy all the bin information to ps2 memory card im using mc0:\ps2link

4th using ps2menu as boot option then load ps2link from your memory card

5th once ps2link is running wait until it says ready on screen

6th goto where you extracted ps2client front end and run ps2clientfront110.exe

7th bottom right corner where it says set ip and enter your ps2 ip address

8th click on load *.elf and point to where you extracted execftp pc side then load execftp.elf then click ok on the argument box that will appear

9th load ftp software pc side and enter your ps2 network address e.g. 192.168.0.10 if your using flashfxp goto the toggles section and make sure everything is off then connect

10th you should see everything like normal mount your hdd (SITE MNT /pfs/0/ hdd:(hddpartion name here) without the brackets)and start transfering files across

11th once your files have transferd just unmount your hdd (SITE UMNT /pfs/0/) and click power off ps2 from ps2client

if execftp dies when transfering files just click on reset ps2 from ps2client and run from steps 5 to 10 again

this seems to work for me lets see if it works for anybody else

Why Execftp when you have ps2link running?
It's alot easier to launch ps2ftp.irx than launching ExecFTPs.

Hmm for me ps2ftpd.irx seems to demand a user for the login along with a proper password.

    Anyone else got this?

    Code:
    [R]Retry attempt Aborted
    [R] Connecting to ps2 -> IP=192.168.0.10 PORT=21
    [R] Connected to ps2
    [R] 220 ps2ftpd ready.
    [R] USER anonymous
[R] 331 Password required for user.
    [R] PASS (hidden)
    [R] 530 Login incorrect.
    [R] Connection failed
    Using FlashFXP.

Yeah, just don't connect as "anonymous", put a random login and pass and it should work.

Well since ExecFTPS 0.6.8-0.6.7 wont really let me ftp stuff to the HDD (10-50 kps/s block or not) I wanted to try and see if PS2FTPD could work.

Launch PS2LINK on your PS2 then use InLink, ps2client or Xlink to load the IRX onto it and <boom> you should be up and running.
