gfish:
I believe there is a problem with the buffering used for transfer of large files to HDD.
By 'large file' I here mean anything at or beyond a few hundred KB.
(This is probably rooted somewhere in the drivers for /pfs/)
Sometimes this problem strikes with transfer of a single file.
For this I have no cure.
For me, however, the problem ALWAYS strikes the second of two large files.
For this I do have a cure, as follows:
After each large file that you transfer successfully, unmount /pfs/.
Then remount the partition you were using and navigate back to the folder
where the next file is to be stored. Repeat this for each such file.
Hopefully SlicStik will make a new release soon, with fixes for this and some other problems.

PC to PS2 transfers works perfectly, but PS2 to PC transfers starts at around 7.7 k and then the speed drops to 0 and I lose my connection. How do I fix it?
I got XP SP2,
FXP 3.0
the latest execftps.elf
and the sp2 firewall to the ps2 is disabled.
If you guys can offer me a solution, I'd be grateful. -Hakaida0
Edit^1: oh, and I am not using any modchip. Strictly MC exploit,PS2 menu-k, a 160G HDD, and that HDLoader elf thingy (I managed to apply those HDL hacks all by my self, heh heh).

Hakaida0:
I never had that problem myself, and I have on some occasions transferred a whole MC as one operation, by simple transferring the mc/0/ folder to the PC. So that has worked fine without needing any work-arounds.
Or is your problem specific to sending HDD data to the PC ? I've never had any reason to do very much of that, so I don't really have any tips for that either.
Sorry, but I hope someone else can help you more than I could.
Best regards: dlanor
