will it make your lens 'dirty' or unstable at some point? coz i believe using winhiip would always be the best when it comes to putting games. however i can't use that right now due to some circumstances.

It can't be any worse than playing the game for hours on end from the dvd. Your laser will be fine.
I agree, installing a game is about 20 - 25 mins (depending on a large game) and from my knowledge that is way less timethen i do playing the game lol. I'm sure if you use a Ps1 "Trigger Disc" it uses less wear on the laser because of the size. Maybe less memory as well ?

well.. all i do is... start use the ps1 game exploit. boot hdloader up.. then eject the ps1 game, everything goes fine.. and no laser is being used, nor the spinning motor![]()
mine's modded so i use a burned hdloader... so installing games with the usage of the lens is almost the same as playing?
if you think about it, playing a game is more intensive since the laser has to jump all over the place to grab different parts of the game.
if you presume that when it writes the dvd to the hd it's just going from track 0 to track n. like an iso.
If you use the exploit with 07c i believe it stops the drive from spinning (shuts off the drive) why bother taking out the trigger disc?
