Does HDloader work on single-swap modded PS2?

Hi, just wonder anyone tried HDloader on antique single-swap modded PS2 (that requires you to boot with AR2 then swap with backup)? Thanks in advance~

Yes, yes it does.
You can boot up HD Loader with AR2 (if you get the cracked version, that is) and use a swap trick in HD Loader to get backups to work.

u can make an exploit install cd and boot it with ar if u have a ps1 original game

i could really use more info here if anyone is willing to offer it. i have a gameshark and can easily load hd loader....will putting games on a hd be easy, or even possible, with this swap chip? it sure would make the system better if my dvds were bootable from a menu!

I've got a swap chip as well and HDLoader works fine:

1) Load HDLoader through AR2/GS2/Exploit (or use the original HDLoader)
2) Let it format your Hard Disk if it isn't already formatted
3a) If you want to install a DVDR insert an Original PS2 DVD larger than the DVDR you want to install now. Wait for about 20 seconds to let it read the DVD
3b) If you want to install a CDR insert an Original PS2 CD larger than the CD you want to install now (if you booted through AR2/GS2 you don't need to do this, AR2's TOC is 630MB). Wait for about 20 seconds to let it read the CD
4) Click Install, the disc will stop spinning
5) Do the swap trick (cogswap, hold eject button, knife trick etc.) and insert the backup
6) Click Continue, it will look at the disc for a few seconds, then you can give it a name and install as usual

or jsut make an expoit, so when u put in your psx game it loads hdloader.. thats waht i did i dont even eed to get my ass off the couch and eject!
