DMS HDD Format Tool question...

Okay, this is my set-up:
Unmodded v7 PS2 (NTSC)
160 GB Maxtor HDD
I have retail HDAdvance 1.0 (am currently running the updated HDA from the MC tho)
I have launch.elf to run everything off of my MC.
EXECFTP.ELF
HDDFORMAT.ELF (48bit from this forum)
HDA.ELF
FAP_SRV.ELF

My problem is when I run HDD Format Tool it boots fine and shows all of my partitions for all my games installed, but I cannot create a new partition. It just hangs at the screen "Filesystem creation in progress." Is there anything else I can do to create a partition? I really want to create and Apps partition to install all of the software on my HDD instead of the MC and also create a ROMS partition to install roms and emulators. Please help

just a though why don't you try to create a partition with ps2os 0.3?

are you creating a partition above 127gb?

No I wasn;t creating a partition above 127 gb. And I also couldn't get PS2OS to boot. I erased the HDD and reformated with DMS Format and now it works and I can get PS2OS to boot.
