You don't use the hex search, you use the goto function. You are searching for an address, not a value.Originally Posted by cody1414

ya know... patching a switch into it would be best... because I don't care much about the pausing prob... but playing Front Mission 4.... it dies during a mission because the HDD isn't accessed for music or anything... so it's a pain in the astrix to work at completing a mission to have it not save....
so being able to turn this on or off for each game would be great..... maybe in the next patched version this could be implemented... for now I'm needing tyo bust out a hex editor.... if I can remember how to un pack and repack a file....
I can't find the string in the file.... unpacked fine jsut can't find the string.... 0503 000c
It's also not at the address in the file I have
EDIT: my dumbass just realised I was packing the file.... damn that's smarts (rubbing head)
EDIT: found it and repacked to 655k same as before... will test tomorrow... I be tired tonight... thanx 1.0e6

OK... my test on my HDD show that this is not working... I have a Maxtor 120GB 5500RPM drive... OEM so I can't give a model number...
I think that this might be a Maxtor firmware feature.... which if it is this sucks... of course being able to send a restart command would work... if possible.
Great work CrazyC for those that it works for... i'll just wait for your next hack.....
