One game that freeze's after the HDD slows down is Cold Winter, just so you know the problem is there.
can I patch hdloader 28bit with this new hack?
My bad, thanks for the info, by the way ^^Originally Posted by fresh

You guys that want this but want a PPF or something else automatic, forget it. Because for a PPF to work, you'd have to have the same exact version of the file that was used to create it.
Hex workshop is easy. You choose "go to offset" and just enter what you are told to search for. When you see that the bytes there match what you are supposed to be looking for (05 03 00 0C) then you got it. Change those to all zeros and save the file back. It isn't rocket science and you don't have to understand programming to do it.
Otherwise, you can wait and see if Zero-X puts it into HDLPatch.

i was wondering the same thing. or is it safe to use the 48 bit one on a small drive?Originally Posted by GaLaK180

Okay, I understand hoe to use a hex editor but how do you find offset 0x91230? I copied and pasted into the search for hex but says it needs to be 8 chars. so I tried 00091230 but still doesn't work. what does the x mean in 0x91230?
