Hello guys. I just finished my exploited Memory card from the other thread with all the ulaunch, free mcboot, and HDloader inside it. Now I'm down to installing the hard drive, but again I'm having a big problem.

Took two(just in case the other one doesn't work) hard disks from my desktop - a ST3160021A Seagate Barracuda 160GB 7200 rpm and a SV0813H Samsung 80GB, forgot the rpm on this one. I already checked the compatibility for these two and their both fine. So then I set their jumpers to master.

I tried the Seagate 160GB first. Attached it to the network adapter then stuck it in my SCPH 30001 R fat PS2. Then reset the PS2 and free mcboot loaded. I selected HDLoader (not sure what version this was. it's with the noobie package from sksapps). HDLoader appears then hardware error.. "HDloader could not detect a hard disk drive connected blah blah."

Very same thing happened when I tried the Samsung 80GB drive.

I thought I was using the wrong version of HDLoader. I stuck my USB flash drive to the PS2 and ran the HDloader 0.8c from it. Same problem..

One thing I noticed though was that I couldn't hear the hard disks' vibration. Shouldn't they start doing something after sticking them inside and resetting the PS2?

So I thought maybe there was no power going to them which can mean that my Network Adapter is dead. I really hope not.

Need help here guys. Any response will be much appreciated.

    That's what I'm afraid of. I don't have any.

Yeah I have. Same thing happened.

Also, I tried same procedures at my friend's SCPH 39004 fat PS2. Same problem.

Hey man. I got it working already. I suspect the problem was the loose interface that connects the Network Adapter to the PS2. Maybe it didn't sit firmly. I just tried it one last time hoping to see the hardware error again , but strange luck.

That was actually my next option. I'm gonna try that after some playing with HDLoader.

Thanks a lot amp2006. You've been a great help. I actually got the idea of trying it again when I saw some of your posts from the console-exploit forum. Good work man. Keep it coming.
