Is there any tool for that ?
In my JP PS2 there is 8 __linux.number partitions with a partition type of 88
There's also a lot of type 100 partition (SCE game partitions) the ones I want to keep are type 100.

The PSBBN is eating 15 gigs of my HDD and I want to blow it away without deleting FFXI cuz my discs are from original release and lol it would take ages to download the updates the game requires to run :\

    Thanks in advance

IIRC, hdl_dump can list and delete non-HD Loader partitions.

Awesome ... I connected the PS2 to the PC with HDL_Dump server and then used salvage and repair to get full TOC of the HDD.
then I deleted all the PSBBN stuff and the HDD now looks like this:

    start size* type name
    00000000 128MB 1 [__mbr ]
    00040000 128MB 100 [__net ]
    00080000 256MB 100 [__system ]
    00100000 512MB 100 [__sysconf ]
    00200000 1024MB 100 [__common ]
    01200000 128MB 100 [PP.BLJA-00011 ]
    01240000 128MB 100 [PP.SLPS-20200.0002.TETRAMASTER ]
    01280000 256MB 100 [PP.SLPS-20200.0003.JANHOUROU ]
    01400000 1024MB 100 [PP.SLPS-20200.1000.POLVIEWER ]
    01600000 8192MB 100 [PP.SLPS-25200.0001.FFXI ]
    02640000 128MB 100 [HDLoader Settings ]
    * image size for HD Loader games, space occupied otherwise
Total device size: 38272MB, used: 11904MB, available: 26368MB
(This one is the Maxtor 540X-4D)
Installed the original HDD Utility disc for JP PS2 (Standard PS2 browser)
Ran the HDD consistency checkup on the utility disc
Everything seems to be fine, PlayOnline and FFXI ran fine too and my HDD has like 25GB free now lol.

Thanks for the help man !

But Europe got Sony Network adapters, and that's enough to put an HDD in the PS2.

I think he meant the official Sony HDD and utility disc, bro
Anyway even if you guys didn't had network adapters you could aways import them from America or Japan ...

In europe we can have the official Sony HDD with the Linux kit though, plus keyboard, mouse, the BBA, a cool VGA cable, i use it to play shadow of the colossus in progressive scan mode on a videoprojector , and the Linux DVDs of course

But still no HDD utility Disc, or BBnav

The HDD is universal. It will work on any region PS2. The catch is the utility disc. Sony never made one for the EU users, which is sad ... With HD loader arround and PS3 comming in a few I don't see any chance of that happening
