    Yeah it works with no modes. Game is still really weird though, using the l3 and r3 buttons to fight.

    hehe, it's not the controls that make it weird, it's just not put together well. You ever played Jet Li: Rise to Honor. It uses the same control, or should I say, death by degrees control is based on the rise to honor scheme. And it works pretty well with it btw, took a bit to get used to but good for that game. However Death By Degrees IMHO isn't put together well, the response from the analogs is kinda sluggish, the combo system could've been better. It's non-responsive, and the gampeplay and mechanics could've been improved. Other than that, they would've had a really good game.
