Damaged HDD help needed!!! –
Hi, to anybody who can help me:
I have a 300G maxtor IDE 16M buffer, that I used in ps2...but have some serious damege in the first 40G...is there anyway to format from the end to beginning of the HDD...or any program that can start formating at some point. I know that for PS2 is useless, but is a pity to drop 250G...
I've tried low level format and some tools without results...so any idea is wellcome
I wouldn't advise using a hard drive that damaged. If a regular Windows format won't format it let it go. Once hard drives start to die they tend to keep going in my experience. Hard drives are cheap now and your data is more valuable.
In this case data is not the problem since I have recovered all and put it into the new disk...the idea is to use it as a usb drive to carry large amount of data...just not to drop it into trash can tks for answering&advice
