hi i have a couple of concerns regarding the hdadvance or hd loader for the ps2...The hdd in use, does it have to be a certain speed, 5400 or 7200 or 10000 rpm, and does it have to have a bufffer??? I was also told today that this program will only work for games released before 2004. is this true??? and how about patches, do u have to remove the hdd from the ops2 and reinstallit into your pc or do u just connect it via the network cable, and if so how do you install it??? and does the ps2 need to have a mod chip installed in order for this to work???? sorry if i asked to many questions

No the Drive speed makes no diffrence, The Hard Drive buffer makes some diffrence as it does on the computer but there is no buffer size compatiblity problams that I'm aware of. No there are plenty of newly releced games that the HD-Loader works properly with, The patches to the HD-Loader program are only for the actual elf/program part you don't have to do any physicly to the hard drive. you simply replace the elf/program or overwrite it with the patched version.
No the PS2 does not need a modchip to run the HD-Loader, if you want to run it from your memory card you will have to use one of the exploits if you don't have s chip that can load Dev1.
