IIRC, latest hdl_dump uses a new way to relate a game currently located on the HDD: "firstname.lastname@example.org" or "name@hdd1:". As LordBoGaMi's GUI has not been updated for a while, probably you should stick with a previous version of hdl_dump (don't remember which one uses the old naming).
With latest hdl_dump (command-line) try the following:
To take the name of USB-attached hard drive:
then copy game:
(that is, assuming your PS2 is @ 192.168.0.10 and "hdl_dump query" shown, that old PS2 harddrive is at "hdd1:")
hdl_dump inject_dvd 192.168.0.10 "Game name" "Game name@hdd1:"
You can group a lot of those in a batch file and run it over night.
BTW, doing that via USB1.1 and networking would take some looooong time... as USB1.1 is limited to about 800KB/sec or at least hour and a half for a 4GB DVD.
