Copy Hdd? –
can you copy your hdd? i want to use my pc's harddrive with hdl and replace it with another one. is it possible to copy everything on my old hdd to my new one? cause i don't want to install windows again and all my programs.
You can ghost it. Put in a quick search for hard drive ghosting
will this work in my situtation? i don't want to copy the games from a hdd to another one. i want to copy the present hdd in my computer to a new hdd, and use my former hdd in my ps2.
If you can get both drives in your PC, then use the Copy Drive feature of WinHIIP. You start the app then select your PS2 drive at which point it will display a list of installed images, then you select Copy and pick the destination drive from the list. If the 120Gb is full, you should then go and watch a movie
ghost your old hdd to the new one then take out your old hdd and format with winhiip.
when i "ghost" the hdd, it'll be exactly the same as it was before? so i won't have to reformat and install everything over again?
i gotta recommend norton ghost, create a ghost boot/startup disk (floppy), reboot your computer with the floppy, choose disk to disk. and yeah, go watch a movie. after that, get the hd you don't want anymore and format it using either hdloader or winhiip (personally prefer doing it in the ps2).
the only difference you'll notice is that windows will probably detect new hardware within the first couple of minutes and ask you to reboot. after that, you won't notice a difference between your old hd and your new one.
awesome, thank you very much for your help.
