Copy games on Ps2 using Xdumb for Mac
Here's my setting :
PowerBook G4 running Mac Os 10.4
HDL v0.8c (the elf file is installed on my mc)
Free Mcboot v.1.8
a compatible HDD + a network adapter
Here's what I did :
I plugged the Ethernet cable from my network adapter to my Mac. I launched FMCB and selected HD Loader. It detected my hdd and asked me to format it. I clicked ok, now the hdd is formated.
Then, I thought I simply had to lauch HDLoader while my Mac and Ps2 were connected together (with the Ethernet cable), but seems like it's not that easy!
The default setting in Xdumb is "Ps2 IP Adress" set to 192.168.0.1, but trying to connect that way gives me an error message "Cant connect check your settings".
So I went to my "Network preferences", and saw a different IP address under the "Ethernet" tab, so I tried putting that IP adress in Xdumb, but it still failes!
I also went to my "System preferences" and deactivated the firewall and also selected all "services" to make sure my computer was completely accessible, but that did"nt help either (by services, I mean : FTP Access, File sharing Mac and Windows etc...)
Do I have to install something on my HDD? Anything missing in order to work? Why cant Xdumb access my Ps2's hdd??
