copy backup to hdd

hey i was woundering is it possable to copy a backup to the hdd. i tryed useing hdl but its says put in ps2 disc. i want this game my friends has but dog ate the original. but anyone know anything. even if it involves a pc that would work to. thx let me know.

Sure it's possible. Try it and see. Maybe that (QUOTE) DOG (UNQUOTE)... bah why bother with sarcasm... it's just a lame story. If you want to do what sounds illegal... try it yourself, see what happens, BEFORE asking a stupid question. And yeah, maybe it'll work. I don't know. I got a modchip. For homebrew. And my dog plays a mean game of Dead or Alive 2.

why not use WinHIIP to transfer the ISO of your legally made backup ?

if you "install" the backup via hdloader you might get errors (I DO) with some games, so i recommend you to use winhiip if you want to transfer games fast, or if you are Mr. Patience you can use FAPLink for example... but it takes too damn long

thx for answer. i need to find a tutor on how to copy the game from cd/dvd all the way to geting it on the hdd. not sure witch programs to use and what to connected were. i am so new at this stuff. i got hdldumb but not sure how to use it. and i have winhiip but it says i can't use it on 98 so i got to do this stuff over my friends house. and not sure how to get the file/s from the cd/dvd. i really need a tutor for newbes.
