You really need to search before posting questions.
Press select to enable compatibility mode selection for a game. It is necessary because without them some games will not work at all (e.g. Fight Night 2004).
I did read and I did not find anything over modes other then they being mentioned... Im sorry for not trying hard enough
I wonder why they didn't mention anything on it, in the instruction book.
You don't have to apologize, but as a general rule of thumb, most questions you ask have already been asked and answered.
I know the "select" thumb rule ... but anyone bother to explain why there are 3 modes not 4 , 5 or 6?
And what does Mode 1, Mode 2 and Mode 3 stands for?
To me when a game dont work I blindly play with the 9 combinations to try my luck ...

I think what hes wondering is what causes some games to not work on the hdd while others do without mode requirements and how the different modes make these problem games work.
it's just a way to boot games differnetly... some have protection like LBA and sometimes has probs run'n irx files or sometihng >_<
so it' s just a diferent way to boot all those elf and irx files? like cdloader for swap users ^_^
