    I have 2 ps2 models I have tried this on SCPH-30001 and 50001
    CB9.3 patched
    HDL v8c.

With the network adapter and hard drive removed I can boot the CB9.3.elf no problem, choose cheat, and hdl launches. Of course it cannot find the hard drive.

But with na and hard drive installed and I boot the .elf I get a blank screen. HD is working because I can launch hdl by itself and game list is there.

if I left out any info let me know
    thanks

1.if your hdd is full of games past the 128 GB mark then thats why

to fix this the easiest way is to start from a clean hdd

2.sometimes it can take a few minutes to setup the hdd partition for Codebreaker

If the problem is indeed that CodeBreaker can not find any free space below the 128GB limit of HDD size it can use, then there is a much simpler way to fix this, without having to reinstall ALL your games, as you would have to do in order to start with a clean HDD.

All you need do is described in the list below:

    1: Boot uLE
2: Launch MISC/HddManager, to list all partitions on the PS2 HDD.
3: Look for a partition with a name starting with "PP.HDL." with a size of at least 512 MB and which you won't mind losing for a while (and/or won't mind having to reinstall later)

NB: The HddManager lists all partitions in storage order, so it should be easy to find a suitable partition and be sure that it resides below the 128GB limit.

4: Exit HddManager back to uLE main menu
5: Use uLE to launch HDLoader
6: Use HDLoader to remove the game chosen in step 3 above

7: AFTER completion of the removal, when you can see the HDL listing WITHOUT that game, then and only then should you reset the console to reboot uLE (or FMCB followed by uLE launch.
8: After reboot, use uLE to launch CodeBreaker, which should then use the newly freed space in the 'low LBA' area of the HDD to create the CodeBreaker partition
9: With this done you are free to reinstall the game you removed earlier as/if you please

NB: Steps 4-6 above are optional, as you could instead try deleting the game partition in the uLE HddManager, without involving HDLoader. But for people still using HDLoader for gameplay and/or installs it is better to let it remove the game, so that the HDL game list is properly rebuilt for this removal.

    Best regards: dlanor

My games are at 100gb on a 160gb hd. I tried deleting a game like you said, but still the blank screen. I will keep trying and see if I can get it to work.
