What do you want to do after it's connected? You can use PS2Link + NA to run home-brew apps on your PS2.
With certain software you can find in this forum, you can install games from the PC to the PS2 HD through the network adapter. Some even let you directly access the memory card to push/pull files like save games.
If you connect straight from PC to PS2, you will need a crossover cable. If you are running the PS2 to a hub/switch/router a regular straight through cable is fine.
I guess the question is, what do you want to do with it?
I want to send files to my HD, like games and apps.
I would like to know if this is possible also. It seems a lot easier to send files through the existing ethernet connection instead of taking the drive out and hooking it up to my pc.
Yes, it would be possible. But with current PS2 tcp/ip stack transfer speed, it might take a whole day to transfer a large game.
How can you transfer games from the PC directly to the PS2 (through the network adapter)? What program can you use? Does Execftp already support HDLoader partitions? Or is there another method that does not involve removing the hard disk from the PS2?
a new program called FAPlink will allow you to transfer ISO images to your hdd for hdloader and "homo"wnz's hdadvanced. You'll have to do some searching for the program though...it was just released!!!
the current version doesnt work wait till tomorrow, it will do the same as HDL_DUMP 0.6
what program could i use to put files in my mc? can i put the hdloader exploit in the MC?
