Cannot Read Hard Drive
Cannot Read Hard Drive –
06-12-2006,01:02 AM
So basically, one day my Playstation 2 was dropped. The PS2 was completely unharmed in any noticable way. However, my hard drive was hooked up to the PS2 at the time, and now when I load up with Hard Drive Loader, all my games disappeared. I browsed the Hard Drive with hdl_dumb and found no games either to be read either. However, my hard drive still shows that it has games on it in a way because it still shows the number of MBs I have on my hard drive and the space remaining. Is there any way at all I can fix this and be able to read the information again?

I think its toast. I know your not suposed to handle a hdd a lot, because of the discs on the inside. honestly i think an arm on the inside moved and maybe busted/scratched something on the disc. (they are all connected to one on layers)
