Maybe one of the seasoned veterans at all this can help. Or anyone can help for that matter. Here's the deal. I traded a friend of mine for a PS2 with the HD loader and Free McBoot already one it. He basically gave me the information on installing games, and until now have had good success. I mainly use the PS2 for all the Guitar Hero games. Now the problem. I have tried to put Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero Metallica on it. World Tour plays good until a certain point in the game and then freezes. Metallica will play until you open the 3rd set (Fade to Black, Welcome Home Sanitarium,etc...) and then it will go into the song, the sound effects are there, the colored button on the fretboard are there, but no song. I have used Lord Bogami's loader and WinHiip, both with no success. Can anyone help me, I am totally a newbie at this and kinda really don't understand it all, but I want to learn. If you can offer advice or criticism (lol) please do.
Thanks in advance.

First question I must ask is :
where / how did you obtain the games .ISO?
Did you rip them yourself? if not then it might be a bad rip.
And are you sure they are compatible?

I am ripping them myself with Lord Bogami's Hd loader program.

Use a program called IMGBurn to rip the games to your PC, and then use WINHIIP to transfer them to your PS2 HDD.
I have all the GH world tour on mine, and it works fine. I don't have GH Metallica, so I'm not sure of the compatibility of it. DJ

Ok that sounds easy enough except for the modes. How do I set the modes. Is that done in free mcboot or before I transfer it over to the hard drive. Sorry but this is all still new to me.

On the game list screen of HDLoader push (SELECT) , on your game you wish to change modes of, which brings up the modes menu, and then toggle them on / off
and then push (SELECT) again to save the settings
