The question asks all. I'm a noob. Please be nice. I have HdAdvance, a network adaptor, a PS2 (of course) and an ethernet cable. So, how is it done?? Please use simple words to and give me the link to the right tutorial. thanx

    Type in FTP Games.
My mom once told me that video games are like drugs.
I was not really sure what she meant by that.
I don't think anybody could smoke PS2 and get high off it.

I used to have a router and could FTP etc just fine. Now I don't have a router any more and I made my own crossover cable and I can get it to connect or ping at all. I have 2 NIC cards, 1 for cable and hopefully the other for the ps2. What network settings do you use in order for the crossover to work? I've looked everywhere tried every setting I could think of and no success yet. As much as I want to buy a router, I would like to put that off as long as possible.

you need to set a static ip address in the second nic that is in the same subnet as your ps2.
what are the ps2 network settings? if you cant find those you probably should give up......

all mine setting is at default. on your pc try to enable the "allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" and uncheck the "ieee 802.1x authentication for this network" and turn off the firewall.
