Can HDL\HDA detect two hdd's?

I dont know if anybody has tried this. If I somehome modify the network adapter so I can connect an IDE cable that has a slave and master connection. Will HDA or HDL detect both hdds at the same time?

You can connect a Master & Slave, but sofware would have to be rewritten or patched to access both.

I'm thinking of just getting two hard drives and swapping them out. A hassle, yes...but, erm, it's better than loading times!
