Burning HDloader to DVD?
Burning HDloader to DVD? –
04-30-2005,11:45 AM
Hello, i have just patched HDloader and burned to a CD, and it looks as if it is patched and working ok, but my PS2 has problems playing CDr......
It will only load a CDr in 1 out of 20 attemps, which is a real pain.
I have tried burning the image with DVDdecrypter and other burning programs but the DVD will not load.
Can someone explain to me how i can get a working patched version of HDloader please.
Thanks for any help!

use nero burning rom....select dvd (udf/iso). select the elf and the system file and burn away. should work if your modchip can boot dvd.

Hi, thanks for the replies!
I am following the guide that was posted but i am having a problem......
In the guide, at the volume section, i need to put in the disc name.
In the guide, the disc name is SLUS 20344 but on the patched disc i have, there are only 3 files called.....
DUMMY.BIN
HDLOADER.ELF
SYSTEM
What do i do for the disc name, it is looking for some numbers for the second part of the name.
Thanks for any help!

Rename HDLOADER.ELF to SLUS_203.44 and edit your SYSTEM.CNF with Notepad.Your SYSTEM.CNF should be like this
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLUS_203.44;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
Make the ISO as in the tutorial with Sony's CDVDGEN.

Thanks again,
I have tried this method and it still does not load off a DVD, i think i will just give up now, i must have wasted about 20+ DVDs.
Does anyone know if there is any patched DVD versions floating about in any of the file sharing programs?
Cheers!
