Howdy all,
after searching the forums for information related to my situation. Hopefully you guys will be able to provide me some helpful info.
My situation is this:
I have 3 maxtor hard drives. Each drive that i try to load games from refuses to load the games regardless of the way i attempt to load them. I tried loading from the hd loader, loading the games using winhiip, and across the network. regardless of game or hdd they ALL BSOD.
my configuration is as follows:
PS2 taken apart using the cog swap method (ps2 dvd rom tray disassembled and i just place the cog on top of the spindle) previous i had the solderless mod, but it began failing.
the hdd i have are a maxtor 40 gb, a maxtor 7.5 gb and a maxtor 10gb.
using the game shark swap method to boot the hd loader.
Now all 3 drivers were formated NTFS to begin with. Ive attempted to convert to ps2 format using winhipp and hd loader. Ive attempted games that i know work on the hd loader (they work on a friends hd loader). ive tried various modes on all games to get the to work and all i get is the bsod. When i first turn on the ps2 I can hear the hdd coming on but it goes off and doesnt spin when i attempt to load a game.
Is it possible that since all of these drives are formated NTFS that could be my problem? I was also thinking that these drives might be unable to be locked and thats why it isnt functioning. If anyone can shed any light on the situation i would appericiate it.

This will not work. Use the memorycard method.
