i have read on another forum that someone had successfully 'fixed' the jap hdd brower that is native to the ps2, that is, when you boot the ps2 you see 'browser' etc. well, apparently when you install this hdd browser it appears as another option and if fixed correctly to handle ps1 cd calls it can easily play ps1 games from a hdd.
this whole setup seems exotic and not likely to be spread around (if it is, please let me know) so i'm just wondering if anyone else has any ideas on how to do this some other way?? of course, the biggest obstacle with this is most apps like hdloader, etc, are coded to work on the ps2 side of things and at that time you simply can't switch the hardware back to ps1 mode (which is why the hd browser would work on startup).
i obviously don't have any answers to this problem, and yeah i know that you can swap, etc. i just thought i'd put it out there for those that are much brighter than me to possibly come up with a solution.
any feedback as to a solution would greatly be appreciated by many, i'm sure
thanks![]()
