boot mc exploit to hdloader

I've been using the memory card exploit to boot ps2menu-k for a few months, and since I can boot that from hdloader I figured I'd switch it around and load hdloader first. But when I upload hdloader as boot.elf and load the exploit, the screen turns white as usual then black.. then nothing happens. I've also tried burning another cd and the same thing happens. This is with a patched version of hdloader that works fine booting from ps2menu-k. What's wrong?

you need a modified title.db file to load the hdloader elf without a pre-loader (0wnz, ps2menu, keylauncher, etc).. crazyc posted the file needed in this thread..
