I use hdl_dump 0.8.1 and it works perfectly to upload,
download image from PS2 to Ubuntu does not work however.
Has someone a Link for a explenation or Howto to patch with that Tool: HDL_Patch_GUI.exe
hmm, well u can easily find out on google most of the things, but i believe the program speaks for itself right?
u just copied 24 the game to my ps2 with hdl dumb 0.8.3 and i turned of the "upd packets" = "4" and lblablabla = "15" settings off. now the game works.
so it seems that this speed up thignie is not that reliable.
I have the same troubles with hdl_dump 0.8.3. I thought that it was because I compiled myself on mac OS X, but I'm so glad that it's a 0.8.3 hdl_dump issue !!
So, you say that you turned off udp options ?? Can you past here your hdl_dump.conf ?
And are developers of hdl_dump aware of this speed problem ?
i just deleted those settings in the hdl_dump.conf file.
Ok, I tried but get a so horrible speed...
I made a test :
- inject_cd gamepc
- extract gameps2
- md5 gamepc
- md5 gameps2
With 0.8.3, with a lot of different settings in udp (and even without those settings) and compression on/off and every tuning possible in makefile and hdl_dump.conf : md5 gamepc ≠ md5 gameps2.
With 0.8.2, with standard settings, md5 gamepc = md5 gameps2
So I continue to use 0.8.2 for the moment
what do u mean with that inject_cd gamepc and md5gameps2 ??
I have a game named gamepc.iso. I inject it into the PS 2 using the name gameps2 (this is the same file !)
Then I extract the game from the ps2 with the name gameps2.iso (this is the same again).
So now I have 2 files :
Both files are the same game, but one (gameps2) went thru the PS 2 and went back to my PC (actualy Mac) HD using the network link. The other didn't move from my Mac HD.
I should get the same md5 checksum as the files are the same, but it's not the case for 0.8.3.
I'm not able to extract games with my Mac hdl_dump 0.8.1 either...
