Bass Hacked HDLoader. GT4 running without patching??
Bass Hacked HDLoader. GT4 running without patching?? –

Just wondered if anyone has tried this.
Bass hacked HDLoader
Description: This is a hacked version of HDLOADER that allows games such as God of War, GT4, & Soul Calibur 2 to work without hacking the games. On the DVD9 games just flatten to DVD5. Also makes many incompatible games work without rebuilding or hacking. (Mainly did this for God of War & GT4 though),
I just spotted it B4 and I'm in the process of testing it.

Well, that would be great, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I will have to keep an eye out for this.

Didnt Think You Could Convert Gt4 To Dvd5!

He's does not really mean to convert to DVD5, just flatten the DVD-9 image to only one layer.
Any confirmation of this as working?

The Elf file loads fine (Original HDLoader Screens.. albeit a bit off centre) and runs games fine.
Just tried GT4 then.... NOTE: first time I've flattened a dvd9 (Except for toolboy's GT4 which worked fine for me).
So... if I flattened it correctly, which chances are i didn't, then no. It loaded past the disclaimer screen Disclaimer faded away, analog light came on and then it hangs at black screen.
I did a file compare in Hex Workshop to see the differences between this file (Unpacked) and the Original "Uncompressed HDLoader" ... Major Differences
I also did the same thing with this file and Zero-x's HDL ToxicOS Core 0.2.... And there were major differences between these 2 as well.
Quick question.. Do I need to edit any LBA Tables within GT4 to make a flattened image work?
Eurasia... hmmm did i say that out loud?

Well I'd certainly like to know, as the "working" GT4 HDD patches still have LAN mode broken, so I am most interested especially if that would be working.

I wonder if this can be skinned as well. Off to test.

for the sake of just people knowing about this one. post it
Hate to sound like a hypocrite but if it helps the community then we might as well break our own rules here. Just an exception for you, sounds very suspicious anyways.
