Both use the network to share files, but thatīs the only thing which they both have in common.
HOST is mutually faster, than the FTP-Way + it is much more stable and bug-free.
Itīs even possible, that you corrupt something if you use the FTP-Way (not very likely, but still a higher chance, than with the much more reliable HOST-Protocol...)
I suggest you switch from FTP to host, now.
-Much more stable&Bug-"free" (nothing is completely bug-free, not even the NASAs Stuff, but "close to" in this meaning...).
