It looks like it will be to big and stick out the bottom of the PS2 HDD unless you use very short (2-3") IDE and power extender cables.
I'd just get one of the ones already verified as working over at this thread.

They have already gone through the steps of testing a few different models. The quote below sounds like it applies to the one you want to buy/already bought.

Yesterday the other cheap ebay ide/sata adapter with the 2 big resistors arrived at me.
It works more stable as the other one.
But sometimes WinHiip tells also "There is a problem with reading the hard drive.".
The results can possibly differ with other harddrives.
But for me the Delock IDE/SATA adapter with the Marvell 88SA8040 chip is the best solution. It works 100% without any errors.
My tutorial will be only for this.
Use other adapters at your own risk.
If you use the search tool correctly, you can learn from others experience, and avoid buying something that may not work.
