Do you think it will work? Dunno yet, I have ordered a sata->IDE adapter

and plan to use it with a Hitachi 250GB 2.5" HDD... obviously I will screw the HDD to a 3.5" bracket-adapter and make some sort of permanent connection to the sata adapter , more to come as I progress :D
Should be ok although you may have issues with the spacing between the IDE and the power connections.
is this from newegg cuss it didn't work but maybe get rid of the power plug and wire the power supply to the network adapter?
It looks like it will be to big and stick out the bottom of the PS2 HDD unless you use very short (2-3") IDE and power extender cables.
I'd just get one of the ones already verified as working over at this thread.

Yesterday the other cheap ebay ide/sata adapter with the 2 big resistors arrived at me.
It works more stable as the other one.
But sometimes WinHiip tells also "There is a problem with reading the hard drive.".
The results can possibly differ with other harddrives.
But for me the Delock IDE/SATA adapter with the Marvell 88SA8040 chip is the best solution. It works 100% without any errors.
My tutorial will be only for this.
Use other adapters at your own risk.
If you use the search tool correctly, you can learn from others experience, and avoid buying something that may not work.
I wish there was a US reseller of the delock adapters.
ah, so someone else thought of 2.5" HDD too , I searched but obviously missed the other thread... no biggie, the sata->ide coster 3.5eur so even if it does not work I will bin it LOL
will grab a Delock IOI Converter SATA to IDE too :)

I have used it for 3 BBA (2 european with lan only and 1 american with lan+modem (the better model with the big case)).
This adapter, I will not even try, I have my money already for too much other wasted and just alternatives for the tutorial to find.

The network adapter with LAN/modem has the great advantage that the adapter is fully integrated, without which he can out of the casing looks.

30 downloads of the translation and no feedback? I'm particularly interested in what kabUMz might have to say, as well as a tutorial for the LAN/MODEM variety of the adapter.
I already took mine apart and removed the modem, speaker and IDE/Power mounting plates. Waiting on buying a 1TB HDD for my PC and a delock so I can slap my 500GB SATA WD HDD in my PS2.
