after i pacth the hdd utility disk,is the hdd in the browser usable or does it just show up BTW i have a Version 7 ps2 with fliptop and swap magic 3.2 set, hdloader exploit and a 120 Gb maxtor 6y120lo
I tried opening up the hdd disc but i cant find the atad.irx... is it in one of the .pak/ .vob files? if so how do i extract it?
Honestly people, ive been reading forums upon forums about softmodding the ps2, ive done almost all and no one has been able to figure out the ps2 hdd utility disc. I have tried to find utilities to open the pak files but nothing does it. i have heard that the atad.irx is located inside one of the pak files. If ne one has a clue or way to patch the atad.irx file from within the pak compression be my guest.
Let dead topics die, and by the way this won't work because the PS2 has an internal HDD firmware checker, even if you install the software when you boot the system up it won't boot unless it's an official drive or there's a chip in with auto atad patching.
-MODS CLOSE THIS-
Yeah this is done for now. Guys if you come up with a way to make this work (theory AND test, and proof it does indeed work) post another topic. Until then, I consider this topic dead as there is seemingly no way to do this, without a modchip that supports ATAD patching.
