Anyway to view HD partitions without FTP?

I connect my HD to the PC with my IDE to USB Box I bought. But with WinHIIP, I can not view other partitions and send files, i.e. roms and elfs to partitions I want to. So is there anyway to view the partiton. And about FTP, I'm not sure if I ahve the right cable or not. It comes with the Network Adapter set(Ethernet ONly). It's a white one, it says CAT5e patch Cable, will that do, I dont want to try as it might damage the PS2 or PC.

For direct connection between pc to ps2 use a cat5 crossover cable
if using a router or switch or hub use a straight through cat5 cable

no i dont think thats what he means.
I think he means is that is there any other way to remotely (or when the ps2 hdd is on the pc) to view ps2 hdd partitions with havening to view them via ftp and mount them first??

I would hope some one creates a file browser app for pc, so when my hdd is on the pc i can dump all the ELFS and IRXS that i need

get hddformat dms tools, its a small elf file. use the ftp to put it to your mc and than launch the elf on the ps2 and yo ucan see all partitions on hdd and delete or create shiet like that. very helpful.

to edit partitions (not hdloader ones), just use ps2menu, and you can hit L1 to cycle through and mount all the possible partitions, then you can delete/add stuff to them. (it will be under pfs in the device menu)

no, no one has develops a P tool to parse anything but HDL partitions. That said, the HDL settings is a standard pratition, and winhiip should be able to do it if it were programmed to.
