i was wondering if there was a disk being made or if anyone knows how to save your memory cards to the hd yet?
PlayStation BB Navigator, HDD Utility Disc, and some homebrew applications can move files from a Memory Card to the HDD and back.
I use ps2meu-k to transfer saves to and fro. Only one save at a time,I don't think it can batch a bunch of saves at one time, (i.e. - a whole card), but it works great for me.
Another useful method is to backup MC contents to your PC, using ExecFTPs.
It's a bit slow (MC reads are slow in themselves), but it gets the job done.
It does allow copying the whole card in one go, too. Just go into "mc" and
transfer the folder "0" or "1" depending on which MC you want to backup.

ps2os has a nice gui face and works pretty good...can transfer files from mem card to hdd and back but it is a little slow and it keeps hanging...very unstable so i just stick to ps2menu-k
my friend has FF11 on his hard drive, along with hddloader, he can transfer anything from mem to hd from ps2 menu.
I dont know if it is FF11 online or the sony hard drive that came with it that allows this?
ShogunProtege:
He can do that because he has the original drive with original utilities installed.

what is ExecFTPs ? can u hook up through usb or something to your cpu? and transfer from there? not sure what to do with that. do i download something to my pc?
ExecFTP is a small ftp server running on your ps2, and you could use your pc end client (FlashFXP has great competibility for this also for xbox...) to access your ps2 mc or hdd. So quite easy to backup all your saves or install home brew programs into mc or hdd. You won't waste any cd-r then.Originally Posted by rock2233
It's great if there is a place for eveybody to share their game saves.... Quite useful for testing the bad-track protected backups...It's quite difficult to verify if it's an protection or bad manufactured unless you finish the game. And it always takes time to finish any game.
YES VIN I SECOND THE SAVE IDEA. the only site ive found that has saves is gamefaqs but that doesnt really have many saves for imported games. what we need is a place that can share ps2 saves. hehe i love execftps =) . like your icon btw love that anime
