    hi, a workmate is selling his Maxtor Model 4W080H6 80GB Hard drive and Im thinking of getting it, but I can't find it on the compatibility list of HDs. Does anyone here uses it? I want to know if its compatible before I get it. Thanks.

    I've used 3 different Maxtors from a 20Gb old one to a 200Gb Diamondmax 10 without any issues. Can't imagine you'll have any problems.

    yeah, i noticed that maxtor is the most popular brand for PS2 HD (excluding Sony of course)...Im currently using a 40GB Maxtor, but somehow, this particular model 4W080H6 is not on the compatibility list. Most probably because it's old (2001)...hopefully it works with my v10 Ps2.

    I think the parenthesis above should read "(including Sony of course)", because the original 'Sony HDD' is really a Maxtor in disguise.
