Any PC->HD progs besides Winhiip –
i searched couldnt find anything besides the network way. Im having tons of trouble with Winhiip not being able to read my HD. i now get it to notice it every once and a while but it cant read the drive. The drive is fine, and works in my Ps2 perfectly. Its connect through USB external case. Any help would ge great
SELECTED Drive 2 : 114.48Gb (14944 cyl, 255 trk, 63 sec) [REDUCE FRAGMENTS]
SCAN DRIVE ERROR There is a problem with reading the hard drive.
that is the Error i receive
LordBogami hdldump will do just fine. That's what i'm using at the moment.
What about HDL_Dumb from Wizard of Oz himself? I tried WinHiip, LordBogami, PS2 Handiness an HDL_Dumb. All besides WinHiip work flawless for me.
dont those work through networks? not plugging the hard drive in to the computer
they work both ways, networked and non networked...
Honestly I prefer HDL_Dump , because I have the sources (are the sources of Winhiip available? ) and because I can run it under linux.
For now I've never had any kind of problems with HDL_Dump, it has passed without negative effects also a blackout during an upload through network, so I haven't any valid reason to change it ( anyway I can't change it either because Winhiip doesn't run under Linux )
may I know what kind of Linux do you use? Mandrake? Redhat?
Works well for me.
Works well for me. –
Haven't used it long but It seems to work well, I thought it was really a good program and the price was really good.
Windows 2000, NTFS formated drive (4gig single file size limit in FAT32) I added a couple of removeable drive bays to plug in PS2 HDD's. So for me it was a good fit. I do have to reboot the computer so the computer's BIOS will make the drive(s) available. .
If I had a 98 computer on FAT32 I probably wouldn't be very found of it.
