So my network card refuses to be recognized by my ps2 when I run the sony network cd, and I even bought a new network adapter and still the same thing.

And it seems that no power is going to my hard drive while it is being plugged in.

(of course incase you haven't noticed I'm having major problems with my hard drive being detected)

Do you think the details above could be blown ps9 and ps10 fuses? or would the fact that the network adapter not being recognized mean it might be that?

    thanks

To determine if it's a hardware failure, you need to do a process of elimination. If you suspect more then one device, it's going to be very difficult to find the source of the problem. If you think it's the hard drive, try another one that you know works in a PC. If that doesn't provide any solution, then you need to try a different network adapter. If not, then try a different PS2 all together if possible.

Of course these are just general troubleshooting steps. Hopefully someone with similar experience of your problem knows what it is and can provide a more direct solution...

I've tried all of those except a different ps2 and none worked.

I'd start loading that gun.... you might need it....

I'd also check NA and HDD in another PS2.... then it boils down to a problem with your PS2....

    1. clean the slot and plug of the NA and PS2 with a toothbrush (preferrably new one)

    2. check all the fuses that are associated with the power and use of the NA

by this point it could be any chip on the board... and unless you have weeks of nothing to do... it might be advised to get a new PS2....
