Action Replay

so I just went and picked up a gameshark to use for installing hd loader on my MC, the only problem is that I got gameshark 2 V.4 .. I am wondering if there is ANY way at all that I can get this to work and if not which version of the Action Replay do I need..... will any of them work? Will Action Replay MAX work? thank you

im not very experience as some of these guys but from what ive learned no it wont work. your best bet is to pick up swap magic or Gameshark 2 V 2

Ive been searchign a long time to see if Aaction Replay MAx will work but from what i've gathered it wont

Only V2 and lower will work because when they prompt you to change discs they stop the disc from spinning, and they don't force you to open the tray with the eject button before you can attempt to make it boot a game. Newer versions of the devices have that fixed to try to stop you from using them as boot discs for backups and imports, so Sony wouldn't get more mad at them.

BOth. GameShark2 V2 and Action Replay2 V2 and lower are the same thing. Interact used to have a license to distribute the AR in North America under the GS name, but lost the license when Datel started distributing it themselves, so they sold the GS name tro MadCatz. MadCatz then licensed distribution rights from Blaze (another European cheat device maker) for their Xploder device and slapped the GS name on it. Blaze supplied MadCatz with a different code encryption method, since Pelican's Code Breaker is also an Xploder, so that both devices could compete in the same market.
