    Hello all, Im kinda stumped!...
Ive been running HDloader with the LBA patch for many months now.. Allthou the other day I reconfigured my HDloader with a new menu and splash screen.. Allthou I forgot to patch it with the LBA patch.. Well thats no big deal.. But the thing is that when I started HDloader it said that I had 95Gigs left on the HD..
Why is it that the PATCHED version only reads 87Gigs left while the UNpatched version reads 95Gigs left.. Has anyone noticed this happenin before.. And if you have. why does the UNpatched version read more gigs..

By the way my HD is a Maxtor 250Gig.. but with the patched version of HDloader reads 233gigs..

I have a 320GB Maxtor Hard Drive and it reads 301GB with the patched HDLoader. I think it's because of the partitions the HDLoader makes or something like that. I am sure Zer0-X or one of the local residents will give you a better answer.

The difference between the 250 gig labeled on the package and the 233 gig HDL sees is the way the size is calulated. The drive manufacturers define 1 GB to be 1 billion bytes, when 1 GB is really 1,073,741,824 bytes. This difference, after a while, results in the large difference you see.

Well I would say 301GBs = 75 games.. but thats saying that all those games are 4GBs a peice.. Witch as you know not all games are 4Gigs so I would say that you could get a good 100 games on that drive before it gets full...

What do you need to do to get it to read the 300 gb drive.

yeah I have um.... 35 of 36 games and still have room for at least 5 more on my 120GB disc..... I haven't stripped any dummy files out or anything either.... so as long as the games are small.... you could really get a crapload on a 320GB drive..... most of my games are about 2GB.... so you could possibly see 150 games on a 320GB... with the dummy files stripped you could see about 180 games.... if they all started at 2GB of course......

the best shrunk game I've seen so far is EyeToy Groove... 4GB down to under 800MB.... I wish they all where like that....
