    In the attachments are HDD Dump, HDD Format & HDD Explorer.

    The format tool 1.0 displays >=1GB filesystems incorrectly. 1.1 displays them correctly.
    Creating partitions over 128GB boundary seems to work.

    The dump tool sees partitions over 128GB boundary.

    HDD Explorer Installer is used to install the HDD Explorer to the HDD for DMS3 users.
    HDD Explorer (included also as a separate file in the archive) is the main software.
    HDD Explorer 1.1 requires new DMS3 firmware to work and could possibly trash your flash so keep your upgrade CD at hand if you're going to play with it.

    Didn't perform any extensive tests with these. Perhaps someone else will.

    (Format and Dump are unpacked so pack them if you like to spare some space. HDD Explorer itself doesn't work if unpacked.)

    If you have DMS3, all you need to do to install it to your HDD is to execute the installer some way and it'll tell you to press X to install the explorer to your HDD.

    Without DMS3 you can't install it to your HDD.

    I have DMS3 of course,
    But what i don't know is, how to write the system.cnf and the install.cnf (if i nedd this one).
    Can u help me on this ?

    For example, i made a system.cnf like this
    BOOT2 = cdrom0:\hdd_explorer_installer_48bit.elf;1
    VER = 2.1b
    VMODE = NTSC

    but after the playstation2 logo, i got black screen...

    SYSTEM.CNF should be something like this:

    BOOT2=cdrom0:\EXPINST.ELF;1
    VER=1.00
    VMODE=NTSC

    Then you rename the installer elf as EXPINST.ELF and burn it with SYSTEM.CNF as a Mode2/XA disc.

    Or you could use PS2Link/InLink to execute the installer over network.

    Well, i instaled the hdd explorer, but seems to not work with my HD, i have a 20gb quantum and when i reboot the ps2 with the Start button pressed, the black screen stays.... Do u think that the problem is the hdd ?
    Is there anyway to put the hdd in the MC ?

    The hdd_explorer_48bit.elf should work from MC, but with 20GB I dunno. Haven't been using anything smaller than 80GB myself.
