i kno i kno...newbie here....yes i searched. just was wondering why my maxtor 200gb hd only reads on winhiip to be 128gb thanks guys in advance...it's late and i can't find my answers at the moment with the search.

Open Winhiip, then choose Program Options before selecting your drive, Click the 48 Bit LBA support button, Hit OK, then choose your Drive

hmmm, i tried that but it still reads only 128gb...should i erase the drive or something?
i'm also connecting the HD through a usb enclosure...i dunno if that makes any difference
Well you do have to format it using hdloader (with 48 bit support of course) then enable the 48 bit option in winhiip, you could also see if hdl_dumb gives the same problem.
Clsoed. You need HDL/HDA with 48 bit support. Use seacrh button.
