Have ya noticed it hss a few problems running games now.... I usede 0.5 to test all the games that I play and they worked... then 0.7 worked with them... but the HDD enabled version runs them but with many missing sprites....
on bomberman it ran untill I saved it and then bomberman and the enemies wouldn't show up... It's a bit hard to run from enemies if you don't know where you are or where the enemies are....
On all of the Crush Pinball games the background show but none of the top level sprites.... so I have no flippers, bumpers, or ball....
I only tried these 6 games and had the same problem with them all.... I wonder if one of the HDD calls use a varable name or a mem location that the emu core uses.
Those Crush games worked fine for me. Make sure your flip and split are set right. Setting those properly for each game will increase compatibility, and may fix other things. I think the non-HD one used 0 for both all the time. A|I didn't try saving with Bomberman but I did save with Cratermaze, Splatterhouse, and Parasol Stars and all saved and came back perfectly. Maybe you accidently changed the plane when you saved?
yeah.. what is the plane... I saw that but can't read what it says testing on my small TV in my room...
I'll try the split thing too... is there a way to make it save the setting of the split for each game... say in a configuration file that stores the name of rom and setting for that game... I know it's possible but will you do it....![]()
R-Type doesn't use super-grafx at all. there is the JAP version, whichg is two seperate cards, and the US one. The US one is, of course, encrypted, and will not load. the jap versions (known as r-type and r-type2) should work.
ah my apologies. thought it did.Originally Posted by _zaphod_
Well, I just tried out the HDD version of PS2PCE along with some homebrew roms which I found on PDROMS & several other sites & they loaded up & ran pretty good.
I like to thank KaylaKaze for adding HDD support to PS2PCE.
Well, I also like to mention that Cinemaware allows you to download the 2 games that they programmed for the TG16 (aka PC Engine) called TV Sports Football & TV Sports Basketball for free from their site at http://www.cinemaware.com/vault.asp?vault=games , you have to register to download their games but it's great that a game company such as Cinemaware is allowing people to download their older games.
question, do you guys load this EMU from memory card and then load roms from HDD? I can't get this EMU to boot from HDD directly using keylauncher, just freezes with "Loading from HDD"
The emu loads perfectly when loading from HDD using PS2MENU 2.6 (the last PS2MENU release). It seems that Keylauncher is the problem. The roms also load from HDD using PS2MENU.Originally Posted by fragment
