I've added HD rom loading to this emu. Working pretty good (as well as the emu itself does anyway). I still have to redo the save state and file cabinet saves, but hopefully I'll be done today.

After playing for a while, I'm thinking the save states and file cabinet aren't that important when the sound doesn't work (PS2 issue probably) and compatibility is low. Maybe I'll just hold on to this until the author of the original releases one that's better.
ps2pce has been officially over since the time that Z posted his personal info on his webpage.Originally Posted by KaylaKaze

running this with umcdr, everything works perfectly. just for your info if at all helpful.
weird. I'll have to figure out what's wrong with the sound then. I left all the core code in tact. Save states don't work at the moment because the code for them is fio only. As for compatibility, I had lots of games not working right: R-Type, Dungeon Explorer, Neutopia... I don't have them on disc and no room on mc to test the original. From the way the readme made it sound, low compat and bad sound seemed normal. I'll keep working on it then, and see if I can find the problem.
Found it. Since gsinit sets snd_sampler and I wasn't calling gsinit until after system_init, it went screwy. All better now. :-) Compatibility still isn't that good but since the user can change the flip and split variables, it has better compatibility than the mc/cd/host only one (at least, I don't think you can change split and flip in the other)

yeah, that's what I was saying, not that I thought it was a port issue but that the core wasn't the greatest.
Where can I download this new version with harddrive support from?
It'll be posted here when it's available I'm sure, or at least an update on it when time comes.
