Finally we can try out a fMSX port on our PS2. It's USB friendly also. I'll try out as soon as I go back home.

Compatibility seems to be right enough, but not everything start (like with blueMSX) so maybe would be just a limitation of fmsx's codehowever, ..all the classics from Konami work perfectly, I have just tested about 20 games (rom and dsk) with no slowdowns or glitches or whatever relevant issues. The author, aka realFMS, told me that he will continue to tune up the code and add features as USB keyboard support, second pad and analogic stick support, anyway soon.. and report by himself on this board any important update. Yay! :-)
I did have some funny test with some recent stuff from MSXdev games contest, now at it's '09 edition. I'd like to suggest some titles I very enjoyed, that work for sure:
Dr. Pill (so much nice music and concept)
Stray Cat (a tiny platform)
RNFF - RUNNING NAKED IN A FIELD OF FLOWERS (kind of platform)
Lotus F3 (micromachines style racing game from the authors of ones of the best demo out there from MSX scene)
Caos Begins (epic platform, no scroll!)
For more, if you don't already know, I heartily recommend to have a visit at msxdev.msxblue.com .. these guys are amazing!
Have fun! :-D

While I'm (still..) into patchworking, here it is a new skin for the emulator menu. I think it's nice :-) The H.E.R.O stylized sprite was taken from a wallpaper at freakyfonts.de - to use it you have just to substitute the original 'mainwindow.jpg' with this one. Byee!
can someone please post it here as the site that is linked on that page appears to be down, thanks in advance
sincerely,
gildor
Of course ^_^
P.S. unfortunally second pad is not supported yet.. I hope this will happen soon, some MSX games are too nice to not try to play it with friends! :-)

Hello,
I finally was able to register (I had problems with my email address not receiving the confirmation email).
Currently, the latest public version is still the one that mazxim posted here. I'm going to start a new thread so you can leave there comments or problems found using the emulator (or good stories about how different you remember those MSX games and how they really are)
Certaintly! MGS is a great classic from the MSX era which still worths to be played into PS2!!! ;-)
Is there someone from Eletrolado following this thread?
Hmmm... I would like to play Nemesis, Gradius and Salamander with analog stick...
