    open nero.
    create a DATA, no-multiesession, ISO9660, iso level 2, Mode2/XA, no joliet, no releaxed restrictions compilation.

    then drag your roms, and the INFOgb ELF into the nero window. rename INFOgb.ELF to INFOGB.ELF (all caps!, it should be converted automattically but if it didn't rename it)apparently the ps2 doesn't like you having more than 30 files per directory. but DONT make any subdirs, otherwise i hear that infoGB will freeze up.

    anyway, that aside, open notepad, copy and paste this in:

    BOOT2 = cdrom0:\INFOGB.ELF;1
    VER = 1.10
    VMODE = NTSC

    then save it to your desktop as "SYSTEM.CNF"

    in the save dialog box make sure you have the quotes around system.cnf otherwise windows will save it as SYSTEM.CNF.TXT, which is bad

    then drag your SYSTEM.CNF into the nero window, then burn on a slow speed!

    boot it on your ps2 and you should be in business.

    oh, i'm writing this for a modchip, if you are using swap or someother shit, you have to change lba's and fiddle around and change locations and whoever knows what else.

    I did it like it was described above but after loadin from CD the following happens:

    I push x and a message say: cant save on mc "bla bla"
    so i push select
    after this i browse to cd and my directory "roms"
    when i push start the system hangs up.
    I`ve got 25 Roms on the cd.

    I had the same experience. What's strange is that it can see the ROMS on the CD (with the new version) and even display them on the screen. As soon as you push start, at any point, the system locks. I'm really bummed that I have not been able to get any version of this emulator to work from CD.

    I finally got it to work (from CD). What hasn't been stated clearly is that you absolutely need to use the MC exploit to create a SYS-CONF folder on your memory card (even if your loading from CD). Once you have this directory on your memory card, then you can select it (and only it) in the first menu that comes up (placing focus on the directory and pushing start). Then a second menu comes up that allows you to select a game (and it runs bueatifully - props to the developer).

    The MC exploit is kind of a pain to install. There are tutorials in different places, but the best on is here http://lookatthemonkeys.com/html/ps2tut.html#C1

    Once you install it, the directory (SYS-CONF) SHOULD EXIST. The only reason I can't say this with 100% confidence is because I went through SEVERAL iterations and attempts with different versions of exploits before I realized the directory was there. One hidden little message that I didn't identify immediately was that you will need an ORIGINAL PS1 game to create the exploit and then that SAME ORIGINAL disk to launch the exploit (with the memory card with the exploit on it). Mine original kept failing because I did not have enough space on the card (so watch that).

    You will go nowhere unless you have this SYS-CONF directory on the MC. I'm not sure why this is not mentioned more throughout these forums, maybe because alot of the users in this forum have used the MC exploit prior. For anyone that doesn't hack the PS2 on a regular basis, this is definitely foreign territory. I have used several other emulators and this is the first one that I have found that absolutely requires the MC exploit to create this SYS-CONF folder.

    Good luck newbies. Drop me another message if you get lost and I'll try to direct you as best I can.

    im sorry i dont mean to be brutally rude but what the hell is wrong with you guys? All of this has been mentioned in threads countless times already! there is discussions about the SYS-CONF dir in a thread inside of this forum! I know for a fact you didnt figure this out on your own! The exploit methods and requirements have literally been posted hundreds of times on these forums.
