For some reason I'm not been able to get this to run from my USB pendrive. I tried formatting the drive in FAT16 & FAT32. What happens is that I can't get passed the configuration screen. It loads the first screen and the HDD modules fine but stops at the configuration screen. I tried pressing every button on the controller and I can't get passed it. I also tried running it from the mem card and I get the same result. Can anyone help?

I believe you need a sys-conf folder in your memory card. I used to have this problem as well but the game boy emulator created it for me. But you can create it yourself too.

I have a SYS-CONF dir on the mem card.

I have the InfoNES-HD.ELF on the mem card in its own dir with the roms (only 2 roms just want to test it).

I make sure the HDD modules are loaded before running InfoNES.

Is there a cofig file I need or could use to skip the the config screen?

I think the elf checks your HD first. You may need to put the roms in HD first. Not sure though.

So can you get past the settings by pressing start or x ? If you get past it, then it will ask you where you want to save your game states. then you should be taken to rom directory.

no I can't get passed the settings screen. I tried pressing every button and I get nothing. The first screen is no problem, I just can't get passed the settings screen.

I guess it can't be run from usb or mem card. don't know as I run it from HD.

This is what I did. (Load launch elf and DMS format tool to mem card directory "BADATA-SYSTEM")

    1. Run launch elf (I use 3.33 for cd-r support)
    2. Load DMS format tool (create an NES partition 128 mb)
    3. Transfer roms and emu to new partition (CD-r, FTP, USB, or whatever method)
    4. thats it
    5. Next time you run launch elf or keylauncher, link your NES elf.
    6. Be sure you have a SYS-CONF folder in Mem card.

I used to have all kinds of trouble loading elfs before but once you get one to work, all the others are easy as well.

Still now loading. I did all steps.
Step 2 Love saving space on mem-card.

Although folowing your steps I was able to get InfoGB to work but InfoNES refuses.

But there is something different this time. With the elf on the mem-card InfoNES would load to the Screen configuration screen then freeze. Now it loads to the Path Configuration screen then freezes.

you are almost there...that was my second problem I encountered as well.

Okay so do you have the nes elf on your partition? also the roms can be in the same partition as well. When you you are in the path screen select that "nes partition" both times. You can make a sub directory in the partition and call it "saves" if you want to. Pick that location. Push start when finished on the path screen.

I just kept messing with it and it worked.

Yes the nes elf and the roms are in the same folder on the same partition. It freezes at the parth selection screen. Nothing happens when I press start or any other button.
