It was because I was doing a fast boot instead of full that coupled with inserting just the ELF part of PS288.VOB which was causing it to show the wrong MG region, replacing it with the decrypted bittable+ELF makes it show the correct regionand it fails just as l_oliveira said when it trys to load REPLACE.IMG after checking the cdvdkey. Doing a full boot makes it showup in English.
Misfire's tool was spitting it out as a currupt .raw file but the .bin cd image extracts / displays fine in Guichi+Vector's ps2logo so I guess all is well with the cd image![]()
like I said earlier, I released rehashed KELFs for some of the utility discs out there, they're on PPF format (for the redump verified bin/cue images).
I don't remember where I posted them though... :\
Search my posts and grab the files.
btw Kevstah this is for you:
kevstar_vobs_2.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
After you dl the file, let me know (post here)
Hi!
One question:
What weŽll get finally?
A regionless original dvd-player v3.x for any console?
Rgds.
These decrypted fine, identical ELF match to ones you sent me. You got a fix for the HDDUTIL vobs also?, I wonder how richi902 was able to get them decrypt properly on his PAL consolemy crc32 matches the one redump.org fc1b1a0f and it's a .bin image. Also can you tell me the correct commands for IceWater's unpacker, I can't get it to work on xp, was it a win9x program only?, it mentions CWSDPMI.EXE, I get this error
C:\>ps2unpack.exe /i:osdsys /o:osdsys_unpacked

Rgds.
Use NEME's EMBED to unpack the kelf payloads.
ps2-unpacker is Nicolas "Pixel" Noble unpacker which is for normal elf's, IceWater's is for KELF's check your unpacked OSDSYS the ELF paths will still be partially scrambled.
