I'm working on that atm, the value for RGB / Component is stored at 3 separate addresses in ram.
Browser, System Configuration and DVD Player. I think OSD Menu and Browser use the same address but I haven't tested it properly due to PS2rd being bugged.
If your a PAL user you can already use mcloader.elf with the "DVD Region Mode" option it'll boot you back to the browser where you can then select the DVD disc and run it without the component green screen :-)
Yes to Codemasters Project forums.
Press X at the about screen to quickly bypass it, it seems as if the app has stalled for a good few seconds otherwise.

I can't upload it here since it contains CDX-UMCDR or whatever.
Thank you for the fast reply, kevstah2004!
Ahhh, my spanish amigos. I forget that...
99% useless functions for me. I donīt like the graphx.
A gui-less elf would be great.
Or a region-key hack.
It seems the region-key elf tests after a countdown a reg or for a chip installed and freezes... :(
When will be your patch available? Canīt wait for it... ;)
Rgds.
PS: Found currently that:
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ;;;;;;;;;;;;;
;
; dvd-bios scanner installer
;
; installs scanner for dvd region/rgb addresses
; then resets to the ps2 explorer
;
; "Region Address 1" 0x12345678 "" "Region Address 2" 0x00000000 "" "RGB Address" 0x66666666
;

Is this useable...?
If i remember right it only works with 1.x dvdplayer versions.
Never seen that so IDK, I'm hoping my findings can be implenented into a newer FMCB version with new options to lock the PlayStation Driver settings that don't save :( and a override RGB/Component option for the DVD Player. I have DVD Player v3.00E here.
It still gripes me FMCB goes to the Browser when you've got a disc inserted instead of just staying at osdmenu for you to select a elf, it's a pain having to backout the browser every time.
I tried my RGB code on the DVD Player to force RGB with PS2rd the screen flashes purple then stays gray. Time to use the same code in codebreaker.
would it be possible for ntsc consoles to play pal dvds someday?
Give me a week and i'll have it done, I've patched the
PlayStation Driver settings, and Screen Size settings using a patched Codebreaker ELF to go back to the OSDMenu with a CB_Launch.ELF this means in the future if FMCB development get's going again we can have individual game settings for the PlayStation Driver the way it was meant to be :cool: unless they add PS1 original disc booting to OPL by just having a PS1DRV.ELF shorcut, game settings for PS1 games similair the current PS2 games that would be my dream come true :p
oh and I was correct about PS2rd being bugged all my codes work fine with Codebreaker.
All you PAL V9 SCPH-50003 users with Codebreaker give it a whirl please :-P and report back.
